Commercial Lines Manager+

Schill Insurance is growing and seeking a Commercial Lines Manager to join our team. The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Service Department. This role ensures efficient workflow, compliance with industry regulations, and exceptional customer service. The manager will lead a team of insurance professionals, drive process improvements, and collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead and mentor the Commercial Lines Account Managers and Associates, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results.
  • Develop and implement strategies and materials to optimize the performance and effectiveness of the Commercial Service Team, streamlining processes, leveraging technology, enhancing productivity, and reducing costs while maintaining a high level of service delivery.
  • Establish and monitor operational key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level metrics to measure operational performance and drive accountability and advise SVP Commercial Insurance of recommended areas of opportunity.
  • Monitor and ensure that retention levels for the department are maintained and coach on business retention opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback on operational performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement as well as monitoring and providing coaching on front-line initiatives.

Communication

  • Clearly, consistently, and openly communicate with the team – All corporate, department, sales, retention, workflow changes
  • Communicate all Insurer changes and updates
  • Host weekly staff meetings, reviewing sales, retention, accounts receivables, and driving increased efficiencies and profitability

Process Management

  • Oversee policy administration, underwriting, and other key operational functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.

Team Management

  • Manage and maintain office schedules
  • Facilitate training for Applied EPIC and various insurer systems
  • Assist with the professional development of the employees
  • Identify and advise on staffing, training, and system needs of the business

Qualifications

About you:

  • Level ll Licence
  • In-Office environment, 5 days a week
  • 5 years’ experience in General Insurance, at least 2 of which specifically related to Commercial Lines
  • Deep understanding of insurance coverages and changes to the market that will affect the day-to-day operations of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Have a desire to learn and support the team.
  • Results oriented, decisive
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to effectively allocate resources, and control costs.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and customer service excellence.
  • Highly Organized
