The role

This position will service a book of business in a variety of industries with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and new business growth. You will:

  • Provide friendly and professional service to customers and members of the team
  • Prepare submissions, client proposals, binders, invoices, and other documentation
  • Manage renewals in a timely and pro-active manner
  • Complete policy wording reviews, research information for our clients to ensure needs are addressed
  • Assist team with various administrative functions as required
  • Maintain detailed accuracy of electronic files

Personal Lines Account Manager -

As a Personal Lines Account Manager at Schill Insurance, you provide the highest level of service to our clients and take advantage of any opportunities that allow you to go above and beyond their expectations. Below are the basic key duties for your position. The Personal Lines Account Manager position includes, but is not limited to;

  • Greet walk-in clients and visitors in a courteous and pleasant manner.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and promptly, within two rings, and direct them to the appropriate person or their voicemail, only after offering to help personally.
  • Promptly respond to client inquiries and return phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Solicit, sell, and service all forms of Personal Lines business from new and existing clients. Develop other business opportunities through up-selling and obtaining expiry dates for the purpose of cross-selling.
  • Objectively underwrite new and renewal business according to company guidelines.
  • Process policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Proactively contact insureds regarding renewal increases and re-market as necessary to meet the clients’ needs and retain their business.
  • Assist insureds with claims, including obtaining information, contacting insurance companies, and acting as an advocate for the client should any problems arise.
  • Acquire, maintain and upgrade technical skills and personal knowledge of insurance products.
  • Complete Personal Lines renewal phone calls and make any necessary changes and notes in EPIC.
  • Accurately enter new business, endorsements, and cancellations in company portals and make the appropriate notes in EPIC.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records in EPIC, recording pertinent conversations, etc. so that co-workers may access the information to better serve the client in the future.
  • Create and follow up on abeyances for outstanding underwriting items and client requests.
  • Collects direct bill premium amounts and forwards them to the company, ensuring that payment notes have been made in EPIC.
  • Collects agency bill premium amounts and once payment received in full issues policy to the insured. Maintains zero accounts receivable.
  • Produces written client correspondence professionally and in accordance to the guidelines of Schill Insurance.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with external groups, such as company underwriters, ICBC, The Insurance Council, and The Brokers Association.
  • Assist in processing all types of auto insurance including renewals, transfers, changes, permits, cancellations, new plate transactions, commercial auto fleets, debt collections, special coverages, and general customer inquiries.

Autoplan Account Manager-

As an Autoplan Account Manager at Schill Insurance, you provide the highest level of service to our clients and take advantage of any opportunities that allow you to go above and beyond their expectations.  Below are the basic key duties for your position, however, this is not exhaustive.

 

  • Promptly greet walk-in clients and visitors in a courteous and pleasant manner.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and promptly, within two rings, and direct them to the appropriate person or their voicemail only after offering to help personally.
  • Open, date stamp, and distribute incoming mail and courier.  Prepare outgoing courier for pick-up.
  • Process all types of auto insurance including renewals, transfers, changes, permits, cancellations, new plate transactions, commercial auto fleets, debt collections, special coverages, and general customer inquiries.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of auto insurance products and guidelines.
  • Promoting, explaining, and recommending coverages and additional products available.
  • Explain, sell and process excess medical insurance.
  • Soliciting and developing other business opportunities through up-selling and obtaining expiry dates for the purpose of cross-selling.
  • Autoplan renewal phone calls.
  • Process ICBC batches in ICBC ADC, Policy Center as well as Autolink.  Ensure that ICBC deposits are taken to the bank at least twice per week or when the cash on hand exceeds $5000.00.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of ICBC inventory, office supplies, postage, and insurance company brochures.
  • Complete inventory reconciliations as required by ICBC.
  • Balance cashbox weekly and request float reimbursement as required.
  • Close Schill machine at least twice per week.
  • Accept Personal/Commercial lines payments in person or by phone
