Commercial Lines Account Manager-

The role

This position will service a book of business in a variety of industries with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and new business growth. You will:

  • Provide friendly and professional service to customers and members of the team
  • Prepare submissions, client proposals, binders, invoices, and other documentation
  • Manage renewals in a timely and pro-active manner
  • Complete policy wording reviews, research information for our clients to ensure needs are addressed
  • Assist team with various administrative functions as required
  • Maintain detailed accuracy of electronic files

Skills and Experience

  • 2 years Commercial Experience
  • Level 2 Insurance license

  • Experience with Epic and Policyworks is preferred

Commercial Lines Assistant-

Schill Insurance is growing and seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position with an opportunity for growth. Our head office is located in Guildford.

About the role:

As a Commercial Lines Assistant, you will provide administrative assistance to our Commercial Account Executive team.

Duties would include:

  • Processing and issuing of documentation, including checking for accuracy
  • Maintenance of client records
  • Following up on documentation and policy requests
  • Managing accounts receivable
  • Answering telephones
  • Communicating with underwriters on behalf of the team
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required

Qualifications

About You:

  • High School Graduate
  • Level 1 BC Insurance License is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Epic, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong data entry skills, keen attention to detail

Strata Department Assistant-

About the Opportunity

Our Department Assistants are integral members of our team and key point of contact for our clients. The successful candidate will:

  • Process cover notes, binders, invoices, certificates of insurance, memos and other documentation as required, with clear instructions and directors from our Strata Specialists.
  • Maintain expiry lists and client records to ensure every client’s portal is up to date with the most relevant information.
  • Process claims loss history reports and prepares proposals for new and renewal business with clear instructions from our Strata Specialists.
  • Process, then direct incoming mail to the appropriate Strata department personnel.
  • Work with agents and accounting to monitor and following-up on outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications

About You

  • High School graduate
  • A level 1 BC Insurance license is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, EPIC, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships and function as part of a team

Underwriting Processor-

About the Job:

We are looking to add to our growing team with a full-time permanent processor on our Underwriting Team.

Duties Include:

  • Process insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations
  • Prepare new business for input into the systems
  • Prepare binder and certificates of insurance
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting rules, guidelines, and practices
  • Support the Underwriter teams with general administrative tasks
  • Update and maintain the broker management system, and other relevant systems with client information
  • Perform billing of client premiums
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Other duties and tasks as required
