  • Passionate About: Life. No, not in a change the world kind of way. I just love packing in as much business, community, family and friends as I can in one day (not necessarily in that order).
  • Finds Beautiful: Wendy, Sam, Emma and Ben. They’re beautiful in every way.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Wine! I’m no wine snob but I do love a good one.
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Chocolate Peanut Butter
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Pirates. Ninjas are way too sneaky for me.
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Easy – Superman. Who wouldn’t want to fly around town kickin’ butt in tights and a cape?!
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Mmmmm, authentic Italian pasta! Paired with great wine.
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? I welcome advice, seek it often and appreciate it always but, come on, it’s got to be “wear sunscreen”.

  • Passionate About: I love (need) a good cup of coffee in the morning.  You can see how passionate about it I am if I don’t get one. Also, coaching –  when I started coaching my kid’s sports teams and realized how fun and rewarding coaching kids can be.  They learn so fast and you can see the effect it has on their confidence. What else? Photography, travel, music, golf, the list goes on and on…
  • Finds Beautiful: The correct answer here is my beautiful wife of 10 years and counting.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Cheezies.  Love em’.  What are those things anyway?
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? No idea – is there a good answer to this question?  Spumoni.
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas.  Not the American or teenage mutant variety.  The samurai kind.
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Invisibility maybe.  Haven’t given this one much thought in the last 25 years or so.
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? BBQ ribs, a nice Napa cabernet and a bunch of whisky.  Just messy.
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? Pretty simple, treat others how you want to be treated.

  • Passionate About: Everything involving water…..from living on the coast to spending a hot summer day on an inland lake, I love it all!
  • Finds Beautiful: My family, they’re pretty awesome.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Chocolate
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Tiger… rawr!
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas for sure. Fast, lethal and far more nimble than I am!
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? The ability to fly. My kids would think that’s pretty cool.
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Turkey dinner with all the fixins. Yum…
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? It’s always best to under-promise and over-deliver.

Junior Partner

  • Finds Beautiful: My children sleeping

  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Tiger… Sweet with a licorice kick
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Invisibility… Cause I’m super nosy!
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Seafood, anything in a shell
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? Only have two kids because you only have two hands!
Ann-Michelle deReus

Junior Partner

  • Passionate About: My work!
  • Finds Beautiful: My son
  • Guilty Pleasure: White wine and Kit Kat bars
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Mango Gelato
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? To read people’s minds or to fly
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Pizza or poutine
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? Find the job no one wants to do within the group, and do it with enthusiasm.
Shanna Hemeon

VP Commercial Sales

  • Passionate About: Everything! Family, friends, work, …… life is too short to not love every minute of it.
  • Finds Beautiful: My husband (not sure what he thinks about me finding him beautiful 😉) and children, they bring the beautiful to my life everyday
  • Guilty Pleasure: Ice Cream – there’s no problem that a bowl of ice cream can’t solve.
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Hmmm, does a blizzard count…cause those are darn good.
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas – to be able to move around un detected, scale walls, back flips, etc. that’s some serious skill!
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Invisibility –  You could have a lot of fun with that superpower.
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Lasagna, garlic bread, throw some chicken wings in and maybe a pizza.
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? Listen to your gut and there is always opportunity if you’re willing to find it. Two pieces of advice that I use in my every day.
Michelle Meerse

Marketing & Communications Manager

  • Passionate About: The relationships I have with my family and friends, my health and my work.
  • Finds Beautiful: Belly laughs. You know, that genuine fit of laughter that makes it difficult to breath… there really isn’t anything more beautiful than that.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Chocolate – that sweet and delicious devil of a treat has its hooks in me something fierce.
  • If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be? Bohemian Raspberry. Let that freak flag fly;)
  • Ninjas or Pirates: Ninjas… there is something graceful and mysterious to them.
  • If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Oh, I have to go with invisibility – the opportunities are endless.
  • You’re about to walk the green mile, what’s you’re last meal? Spaghetti and lime margaritas. Don’t judge 😉
  • What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you? As a child my mom relentlessly drilled in my head, “there is no such thing as the word can’t, only won’t”. This drove me absolutely insane when I was young but it definitely stuck… this thought process has driven me to try a lot of things and has only made me a better person for it.
